Do instgram allow ppl know who view their profiles?

Recently I've been watching someone's instagram A LOT using my second account.
And that person's account went private all of sudden, which had never happend before.
They have got many followers so I didnt think that I would get caught..
I am panicked so much cuz , ofc I never watched thier stories or accidently liked their posts, but I did watch thier highlights and this is something I am worried about.
Someone said that my account might come up to their recommended list if I watch their profile often, but the account I use when I watch someone's ig profile is just impossible for them to notice who am I.
But I heard a story saying that recently instagram allowed some people to know who viewed their profiles. Idk if they could know who's the owner of the account, but I am just so scared guys ,is there anyone who know if I got caught or am I being over dramatic?
