Rudeus first orsted encounter

Something about Rudeus engaging in conversation with orsted bugs me. Does it bug anyone else? One of Amy first question is why he didn’t seem to care about his teammates during the whole exchange. I would also think that orsted would have wanted to get more info but that is not as glaring as how it seemed to have Rudeus thinking like both a child and adult at the very same time and just completely forgot about rujierd and eris in that moment
