Is it worth re-contracting/topping up my insurance plans give my current background?

General

Background: 30M working in finance, with annual comp at ~$100K a year. Planning to get married in the next 2-3 years and looking at a resale property purchase (looking between $1M and $2.5M price tag). Not planning to have kids.

Current insurance: Singlife Elite Term, $1M life, $1M TPD, $100k multipay CI (coverage ends at age 70 for all). I locked this in a few years back when there was a promo running and am paying $1,980 annually. Also have MINDEF insurance for $300K death cover and $100k early stage CI on the side.

Was looking at topping up the MultiPay CI - and additional $50K coverage costs about another $500 a year more, additional $100K coverage costs about $1,060 a year more, on top of what I already pay. Asked my agent why it jumped so much and she said it is a mix of the promo being gone, repricing since I first signed, being a few years older now, and the CI definitions getting updated.

1. Is it worth paying up for more CI given how much the price has moved, or do I just stick with what I have and self fund the gap myself?

2. Term runs until age 70, wondering if that is actually enough given marriage and a property purchase are still ahead of me, or if I am worrying over nothing.

Would love to get some advice from the seasoned folks here. Thanks!
