👋 Welcome to r/ShopNearMeIE - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! I’m u/Negative-Desk-655, a founding moderator of r/ShopNearMeIE.

This is a new community for discovering, recommending, and supporting locally owned businesses across the Inland Empire. That includes restaurants, shops, service providers, makers, markets, events, and hidden gems throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Whether you’re looking for a great local place, want to share a business you love, or own a business yourself, you’re welcome here.

What to post

Share anything that helps people discover and support local businesses, including:

  • Recommendations for restaurants, shops, and services
  • Questions about where to find something locally
  • New business openings
  • Farmers markets, pop-ups, and local events
  • Photos and stories from businesses you enjoy
  • Business introductions and updates
  • Helpful resources for local business owners

Please include the city or area in your post title whenever possible. Business owners and employees should also clearly disclose their connection to the business.

Community vibe

We want this to be a friendly, useful, and trustworthy space.

Honest recommendations and respectful criticism are welcome. Spam, repeated advertising, fake reviews, personal attacks, and low-effort link drops are not.

The goal is to help residents find good local businesses while giving responsible business owners a place to connect with the community.

How to get started

Introduce yourself in the comments and tell us what part of the Inland Empire you’re from.

You can also make your first post today. Share a local business that deserves more attention, ask for a recommendation, or tell us what kind of business you wish existed in your city.

Know someone who loves supporting local businesses? Invite them to join.

Interested in helping shape the community? We may add more moderators as the subreddit grows, especially people who are active, fair, and familiar with different parts of the Inland Empire.

Thanks for being part of the first wave. Let’s make r/ShopNearMeIE a genuinely useful place to discover local businesses and support the people behind them.

What Inland Empire business do you think more people should know about?
