not being able to message that person

Have you ever cut someone off because it was best for both of you? Or been on the other end? Don't you just hate the nights you wish you could talk to them? I can't even let them know I'm thinking of them because it's crossing a line, and honestly seems mocking. I didn't even love this person romantically, they were just a good friend who made bad choices. Oh, well. I hope they know I still care.
