Question about outfit/furniture purchases

Say for example I like the squirrel hood, but I want it in a color other than what's currently in the shop. Am I limited to that color, or if I go to purchase it, will it first give me an option to select the color I want? Like the daily Drive-In Dreams prizes let you select which color you want?

Thank you, cheep.
