AITA for not having an issue with ai or data centers?

I see this local sub post about data center protests and I just dont get it. I understand there is always a group that will be anti-change, anti-ai no matter what happens and I attribute that group to the boomers that refuse to get smart phones. I can sympathize the NIMBY who doesn't want a loud industrial building in their backyard. Im environmentally conscious and not fond of fossil fuel, I understand the importance and the need for true artists. But I dont see the need to hinder the progress of ai and advanced computing because it has so much more potential than stealing work from artists. I respect people's rights to boycott and voice their concerns but to actually hinder such a large technological advancement seems a bit silly. Would a level headed person join these protests? what am I missing?
