Approval Is Coming - Hang in There

The most common questions in the subreddit are timeline ones which is understandable. Waiting on your I-129F approval is its own kind of test. You've done the paperwork, you've sent it off, and now there's nothing to do but sit with the not-knowing. That part is harder than the forms ever were.

A few things worth remembering while you're in it:

Processing times move slower than any of us want, and they're not a reflection of your case being weak or having a problem. Most petitions just sit in queue. Silence from USCIS is normal, not a bad sign.

Check your case status online and set up your normal correspondence expectations, but don't obsessively refresh it. Set a reminder to check once a week instead of five times a day. Your mental health will thank you.

Use this time. Start gathering the documents you'll need for the next stage. Get ahead of embassy requirements, medical exam logistics, and the interview prep. The couples who walk into their interview relaxed are usually the ones who used the wait productively instead of just white-knuckling it.

And if you're staring at an RFE or a hold and not sure what it means or what to do next, that's usually the moment people wish they'd had someone in their corner from day one instead of scrambling to catch up. Worth thinking about, even if you're already in the middle of it.

You're closer than you think. Hang in there.
