Sitting here with my 5080 contemplating why I bought it.. (AM4 to AM5)
I essentially jumped the gun and bought the GPU first, and I'm essentially planning to wait 3-4 weeks before buying the microcenter bundle with the 9800x3d. The bundle has the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, a Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5-6000 kit, and a Gigabyte B850 Gaming X WiFi6E motherboard for $899.99, so with tax it's like $972 ish,
The guy at the store told me to get the GPU first since the prices might fluctuate.(Even if I got the bundle first, either one would've fluctuated, so it doesn't really help me...) Ideally I could've bought the bundle first and just used the iGPU on the 9800X3D for a few weeks, but alas that didn't happen.
Just sitting here wondering why I jumped ship off AM4. I had a 5800X3D with a 9070XT, 32 GBs of ram 3600mhz, so my ultrawide monitor and gaming chair setup are just sitting there unused since I have no actual PC to use yet...

So yeah I'm excited, but this is essentially the calm before the storm. I'm contemplating what type of case to get this time.
The last PC was good yes, but it wasn't built with aesthetics in mind, so this is my chance. This AM4 to AM5 jump comes with sacrifices haha.
May the computer gods save us all and end this great depression of parts.
