Movies where the guy doesn't get the girl (or vice-versa)

I watched the Great Wall the other day. At the end, the guy leaves and the girl stays. That got me to thinking....

What other movies are there?

Love and Monsters. The guy goes on a quest to find his love, and at the end they part to do their own thing.

And then Cowboys and Aliens came on TV today while I was cooking... Yeesh what an awful movie, but the guy definitely doesn't get the girl.
