Has Jokic’s championship window already closed?

Just a few years ago, the Denver Nuggets felt inevitable. After absolutely dominating the post season and winning the 2023 championship, everyone thought they were destined for a repeat.

They smoke the Lakers in round 1, but get knocked out in the semi-finals, not even getting to the conference finals, and not even losing to the eventual conference champion.

They haven’t been able to get past the second round since. It’s getting more embarrassing by the year. They’ve got knocked in round 1 with Jokic and Murray against a heavily injured wolves team. Jokic also hasn’t had a big track record of carry jobs á la 2003 Tim Duncan in the playoff runs. They’ve come with huge help from other players like Murray and Gordon. He’s also had some of his worst stretches in the past few years.

We all know how hard it is to get back and win, but is it genuinely possible we’ve seen the last of Jokic in championship basketball? If not, what is his ceiling? One more appearance or title?
