Boricua Heritage

My name is Darian, I live in Indiana, my grandmother was from Caguas, and unfortunately I was never taught anything. Over the last year and a half I’ve been teaching myself the history of the island, the culture, and language. I’ve approached all of these things with great respect and always will, but I live pretty secluded, so I’m kind of hoping to share correspondence with someone on the island, whether it be online or through postage. I want to learn more about my heritage, I want to understand daily life there, I know I grew up very differently, but the island and people I will always hold close to my heart.
