Quantum Moom mechanic-breaking bug?

I don't exactly know how to title this, so sorry.

If you have not traveled to where it is crucial to be at the north pole do proceed, SPOILERS BELOW

!I have beaten the game once, so I understand all of the game mechanics. I'm on my second playthrough currently, and I just got to the Quantum Moon. I remembered how you get to the Eye via the north pole and turning the lights on/off inside the tower. HOWEVER, as I made my way to the north pole (while orbiting Timber Hearth), I randomly decided to blink. Not sure why but I did. Doing this, even though I was NOT in the tower or even near the tower, as soon as I blinked I IMMEDIATELY just appeared at the starting point of the Eye.!<

I have never had this happen and I briefly tried to Google search it to see if anyone else has done it, but didn't find anything right away. Has anyone else ever done this??
