Has anyone changed their background check process to improve the candidate experience?
One thing we've been talking about lately is how much the background check stage can affect the overall candidate experience.
Everything can be going smoothly throughout the interview process, but once the offer is accepted, things tend to slow down. A few extra days of waiting doesn't always seem like much, but we've noticed it can make candidates anxious or less engaged, especially when they're considering multiple opportunities.
I'm concerned, if other hiring teams have been into the same issue. Have you made any changes to your background check process that helped keep things moving without sacrificing accuracy or compliance?
I'd be interested to hear what's worked for others and whether there are any best practices you've picked up along the way.
