Need advice on best platforms to sell high-end workstation/gaming PC locally (DFW / Plano area)
Hey everyone,
Built a high-end system back in September for gaming and local AI work, but due to work taking over all my time, it’s basically just sat on my desk unused for months. Decided it’s time to move it on to someone who will actually use it.
I really want to avoid shipping a system this heavy/expensive due to scam risks and damage, so I’m trying to figure out the best local avenues besides Facebook Marketplace. Are there specific local DFW tech groups, discord servers, or local consignment shops you'd recommend?
System specs for context on what I'm trying to list:
- GPU: MSI RTX 5090 32GB Vanguard SOC
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K (Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE)
- RAM: 128GB (2x64GB) G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 DDR5 6000MHz
- Storage: 2TB Samsung 9100 PRO PCIe 5.0 SSD

- PSU: MSI MPG A1250GS 1250W 80+ Gold (ATX 3.0)
- Case: Lian Li Lancool 216 (with added magnetic dust filter/extra fans)
- UPS: CyberPower PR1500LCD (1500W Pure Sine Wave)
Everything is basically brand new condition with original boxes and receipts. Hoping to get around $4.5k for the PC (or $4.9k bundled with the 1500W UPS) locally in the Plano / DFW area.
Any suggestions on where tech enthusiasts around here buy/sell this level of hardware locally? Appreciate any tips!
