What are people using for subtitles?

So im very new, been mostly focused on streaming and clips for shorts and social media. I just started getting a rhythm down, and im also starting to plateau a bit. I want to up the quality of my shorts, and the obvious first step was quality subtitles. What software/tools is everyone using?
