Can this pastor be a good one: proud not to have read a single line of original philosophy?

He said philosophy is a corrupting force, including Aquinas's.

He (at my cousin's church) said he read "Christian" comments on philosophy that he said were all rightfully antagonistic, though.

Is he too fundamentalist?
