Dear Diary,

This weekend, everyone else was busy.

Penny was visiting Aunt Maureen.

Kira stayed home to finish a new drawing.

Winfrey was organizing her birthday presents and books.

Mom smiled and said,

"Why don't you enjoy a peaceful walk around town today?"

I smiled confidently.

"I'll be careful."

Mom kissed my forehead.

"I know you will."

My belly gave a tiny wobble.

For some reason...

I wasn't as confident as Mom was.

🌞 Saturday – A Peaceful Walk... At First

The weather was beautiful.

The birds were singing.

A gentle breeze blew through the streets.

Everything felt wonderfully peaceful.

I walked slowly, humming to myself.

Wobble... wobble... wobble...

My tummy bounced happily beneath my shirt.

"So far, so good," I whispered.

🌺 The Flower Pot

Outside a small flower shop, colorful flowers decorated the sidewalk.

I stopped to admire them.

"They're beautiful."

As I leaned forward to smell a rose...

My belly leaned farther.

Boop!

It gently nudged a large empty plastic flower pot.

The pot rolled away.

Rrrrrrr...

It rolled in a perfect circle...

Then returned and gently bumped my shoe.

The florist laughed.

"I think it likes you."

"I think my tummy greeted it."

🚲 The Bicycle Bell

A parked bicycle stood beside a café.

I carefully walked around it.

Very carefully.

Almost.

My belly barely brushed the bicycle handle.

Ding!

The bell rang loudly.

Several people looked over.

I quickly bowed.

"I'm sorry!"

An elderly gentleman chuckled.

"The bicycle wanted to say hello."

🪑 The Café Chair

I bought a cold lemonade and sat outside the café.

As I reached for my drink...

My belly gently nudged the lightweight chair beside me.

Scrrrape...

The empty chair slowly slid across the ground.

A waiter looked over.

"You making room for someone?"

"No..."

"My tummy just rearranged the furniture."

Even the waiter laughed.

🌅 Saturday Evening

On my way home, I passed a pet shop.

A friendly golden retriever wagged its tail excitedly.

I knelt down to say hello.

Before I could pet it...

It rested its head against my round tummy.

Then...

It refused to move.

The owner smiled.

"I think he found a very comfortable pillow."

I laughed while scratching the dog's ears.

"I think he has."

🌞 Sunday – Another Walk

After breakfast, Mom asked,

"Walking again?"

"I think yesterday went well."

Mom raised one eyebrow.

"Really?"

"...Mostly."

She smiled knowingly.

"Have fun."

🍎 The Fruit Stall

I stopped at a fruit stall to buy apples.

The shopkeeper handed me a paper bag.

Just as I turned...

My belly gently bumped the hanging price sign.

The sign spun around.

Once...

Twice...

Three times...

Until it finally stopped facing backwards.

The shopkeeper laughed.

"Now nobody knows the price."

I helped turn it around again.

"My apologies."

🫧 The Bubble Surprise

Further along the park, some children were blowing soap bubbles.

The bubbles floated through the air.

One landed on my nose.

Another on my shoulder.

Then one floated gently onto my belly.

It stayed there.

Perfectly round.

I held my breath.

A little boy whispered,

"Don't move..."

Everyone watched.

The bubble slowly slid down the curve of my tummy...

And...

Pop!

The children burst into laughter.

"So shiny!"

One girl giggled.

"Your tummy is magical!"

I laughed too.

🛒 The Shopping Basket

Near the supermarket entrance, I picked up a shopping basket.

As I walked through the automatic door...

The basket swung slightly.

My belly bumped it from behind.

The basket swung forward.

Then back.

Then forward again.

Like a little pendulum.

An employee smiled.

"Looks like your basket is dancing."

"It learned from my tummy."

🍦 Ice Cream Again

The warm afternoon reminded me of last weekend.

So I bought a small vanilla ice cream.

"I'll eat this slowly," I promised myself.

I sat on a park bench.

Enjoyed every bite.

Everything went perfectly.

Until the final spoonful.

As I leaned forward...

A tiny drop of melted ice cream landed...

Right on my belly.

"Oh..."

I wiped it away immediately.

Just then...

Grrrrrr...

My stomach rumbled happily.

A nearby grandmother smiled.

"I think someone enjoyed her dessert."

"I certainly did."

🏡 Home Sweet Home

When I returned home, Mom was watering the garden.

"How was your walk?"

I smiled.

"My tummy greeted..."

"...a flower pot..."

"...a bicycle..."

"...a café chair..."

"...a dog..."

"...a price sign..."

"...some bubbles..."

"...a shopping basket..."

"...and an ice cream."

Mom laughed so hard she nearly dropped the watering can.

"My goodness."

"Busy weekend?"

"My belly certainly thought so."

Just then...

Gluuub...

Mom gently rubbed my tummy.

"I think it's asking for dinner."

"I think you're right."

🌙 Final Thoughts

This weekend reminded me that I don't have to be rushing around for funny things to happen.

Apparently...

Simply walking peacefully is enough.

My round tummy somehow managed to:

greet a flower pot,

ring a bicycle bell,

move a café chair,

become a pillow for a friendly dog,

spin a price sign,

pop a soap bubble,

make a shopping basket dance,

and even catch a tiny drop of melting ice cream.

Sometimes I wonder whether my belly has its own adventure map.

If it does...

I'm just happily following along.

Good night, Diary.
