I finished the bucket list quest and got the plans for the 105mm lens. Got excited and thought I would be able to take photos of the necessary animals without having to get so close.

Nope. You still have to reach a certain physical distance from the target to make the camera recognize it. I Tried getting the mirelurk queen first—that was a mistake. I am bummed.
