they've ruined the instruments

so i'm a season of shattering moth, right? when i first started playing, finding the theatre was downright magical. i've been doing theatre since i was about 6 years old so i immediately got attached to the spirits involved. i briefly hyperfixed on season of performing for a time (i'm autistic) as well. one of my favourite things to do in sky was play music. i used to sit and figure out how to play songs in sky and write it out in my notes app.

after season of the nine coloured deer, my switch didn't have enough storage to download the next update, so i stopped playing. when i got an sd card, i presumed that because i'd uninstalled sky, i'd have lost my progress, and procrastinated opening sky again until season of carnival.

anyway. today i booted up sky again after a few brief play sessions here and there because i always lose track of time when i play, my relatives were going back home after staying over for a week and i wanted a distraction. i went into harmony hall to play.

the thing is, with every instrument other than the harp, now when you play them there's a chance for the note to be in a higher key than usual, which makes it impossible to properly play any actual songs. even stranger, i could've sworn that the instruments weren't doing this last time i played maybe a month ago. regardless, now it feels like the only instrument i can play is the harp, which makes the whole thing about harmony hall feel like it doesn't matter anymore. a room full of free to play instruments doesn't do much good when the only one that's in tune is already in your inventory.

maybe this is a bug or something. i hope so.
