Is it better to cover costs through insurance or out-of-pocket?

Advice (NO MEDICAL ADVICE)

I have previously gone to a consultation for breast reduction where insurance brought down the surgery cost to about $2k if I remember correctly, but that was about 3 years ago. My anxiety has kept me from moving forward and one of things I'm anxious about is my breasts being too small or not as lifted as I want them to be - I was told that in order for insurance to cover the costs they have to remove a set amount of breast tissue pounds. If you are someone who got their breast reduction with insurance coverage what was your experience, and were you happy with the results? Or did you undergo a second breast augmentation down the line to make more changes? I feel like out of pocket would give me more control, and that would decrease my hesitation in having this surgery but that increases the cost up to almost 10k, and would mean I would have to wait even longer than I already have to get undergo this surgery so I can save the money.

Sorry for the loaded post. I genuinely have wanted a BR for as long as I can remember, but there's always something holding me back. I used to be smaller in size, and I tolerated my breasts better then. But now at 5' 190lbs with the same 34/36DDD cup size it's been especially challenging to move my body. I am hoping a BR will give me the confidence to get back into the gym and achieve my body goals.

TIA to anyone who has taken the time to share their experience/ advice. <3
