Void gods

There are only 7 void gods, and there have only ever been 7. Does this mean that mortals blessed by void gods ascend to be regular gods, or that perhaps they never ascend in the first place? If the latter, is this because they're actually unable to ascend, or is it something like them simply going insane and dying before they can make it to the point of ascension?

With Arnold's B-grade evolution his important parts exist both within the void and his body. Additionally, he isn't affected in the same way others blessed by void gods are. Does this have any implications that should Arnold ascend he'll be the 8th void god?
