Am I a bad parent for thinking of having my kid move in with their other parent?
I share a child with an ex who isn’t very involved. But our child adores them. I’ve always had sole custody since birth and our child spends school breaks with their other parent. Is it bad that I’m considering having him move in with the other parent full time and ask to switch schedules? There are a lot of times when we butt heads and overall there’s a lack of respect. I do not have this problem with my other children shared with my partner. But when my child is at their other parent’s house, they behave extremely well and always complain about coming back home and ask if they can move in with the other parent. After a few really rough arguments and behaviors, I am at my wits end. I truly believe my relationship with my child will be stronger if we switched schedules. And my child would agree. Is that wrong? Am I doing something terrible?
