Struggling to use most of deck

I’m finding that in games with my friends, and even those in twin suns, we never last long enough to get to most of our cards, usually using less than 50%. We also didn’t have enough cards for twin suns so we just used the base format plus an extra leader and still never ran out of cards. Anyone else experiencing this or do we just suck at the game?
