GEM Explorer (Mechanical Engineering)

Question :snoo_thoughtful:

First time posting here. As the title suggests, im
a incoming Mech Eng freshmen and would like to know more about the GEM explorer experience; preferably from anyone taking mechanical engineering.

Idk if it helps theres this NOG award offer and i understand that i could use the grant for campus hall or any overseas immersion programme.

I joined a briefing call recently regarding how we could use the grant and the GEM explorer really stuck out to me. From what i know its a full semester exchange and its requirement is that i will need a min 3.3 GPA. I Just have a few questions:

  1. Which country did you go to, what course youre in, how was the experience for you?
  2. How was your schedule like? Did you have more free time as compared to your normal schedule in sg?
  3. Do your mods become pass/fail?
  4. Does this NOG award increase my chances of
  5. getting accepted?

Do let me know! Doesnt matter if youre in ME or not! Im just looking for more insights across the board before i make the decision! (looking at europe region maybe turkey if thats even possible😂)

For anyone in ME that got into the GEM explorer programme, do Imk if it will be okay if i DM vou
