\[0:08\] Emerald Ranch Saloon: The first that Arthur learns of Miriam Wegner is in a conversation out to Carmody Dell, when Hosea tells him what he learned during the Ch II story mission "The Spines of America" in episode CIIE38 https://youtu.be/iGEhcemvq8o Arthur learns more about Miriam from a woman that needs a ride back to Emerald Ranch, which Arthur met in episode CIIE71 https://youtu.be/AziZaXJEVmM Jacob Worth, the general store owner in Valentine, will often comment about how she's been locked up in the house for a couple of years while Arthur is in her store.
\[2:43\] Joshua Burgess' grave: This apparently was the boyfriend of Miriam Wegner, who likely was shot by her father, Eugene Wegner. The Letter to Miriam Wegner was found by Arthur in an abandoned Mail Wagon in Cumberland Forest in episode CIIE128 [https://youtu.be/CJKCM6dOG6U](https://youtu.be/CJKCM6dOG6U) and the letter explains more of what is going on with Miriam, Joshua and Eugene.
While I've outlined the Miriam Wegner story in this episode, YT's Strange Man does an excellent video on the Wegners that includes audio found in the game files: [https://youtu.be/wKzDe4Cp93I](https://youtu.be/wKzDe4Cp93I)
There is a friendly stranger camp where the camper explains a bit about Emerald Ranch, however it is in Great Plains on the forbidden side of the Upper Montana River for Arthur, but it may be possible to get this conversation as Arthur during the period of time between the story missions "Americans at Rest" and "The First Shall be Last" in Ch II.
One of the audio files that StrangeMan uncovers in his vid is that Joshua Burgess was the bartender at the now closed down saloon.
\[5:38\] Miriam Wegner: I knew about Miriam Wegner appearing in her window, but for the longest time, I never understood how and why it was triggered, and the other RDRII videos I had seen on this did not offer any specifics on the game mechanics of it other than some random time within the time she appears. With help from u/ReyNok, I finally got it figured out.
What is happening is that the possibility of Miriam's appearance is on a 7-game-day schedule. It won't work just to reload from a manual save point then keep trying to go look for her, because if she is not appearing on that game day, she just won't appear. You need to allow game days pass to do this.
On game days that she appears; she will appear starting at 9 am or pm and stand in the center window of upper floor. She will remain there until noon or midnight. She will appear both in the morning and at night if it her day to make an appearance.
It appears to be a condition of the trigger to make her appear that Arthur be in the front yard looking for her, he can't hang back outside of the fence line., although once she appears, she will stay in the window if Arthur wants to back off a bit.
Miriam is on a 7 game-day schedule. Her schedule is: 1 day on, 1 day off, 1 day on; 1 day off; 1 day on then two days off and repeat. So, she appears on Monday, Wednesday, Friday if the two days off are considered her weekend. So, when showing up on a random game day, there is a 43% (3 out of 7) chance of her appearing (at 9am or pm), but if not then, the next game day will be at a 75% chance (3 out 4), and if not then, she will be guaranteed to appear the next day.
After figuring out her schedule, I had initially wanted Arthur to go spot her the next day after episode CIIE257 [https://youtu.be/7Ov3UEXUoTg](https://youtu.be/7Ov3UEXUoTg) since I wanted to have this done in my play through before the end of Ch II. However, I found out she was on her weekend, so I had to delay the visit to Emerald Ranch by two game days, by checking out Register Rock on one day, then meeting the "An Old Pig Farm" camper on the next day. She did appear on Monday, as predicted.
I do not know if causing trouble or if Arthur terrorizing Emerald Ranch will cause her not to appear, but shooting at her bulletproof window while she is there will cause her to leave and hide.
\[9:07\] Eugene Wegner: It seems none of his workers care if Arthur beats him up. However, this may not be the case with passersby that don't work there.
\[11:51\] Miriam Wegner (nighttime): There's a bit of inserted video of Miriam that was created by u/ReyNok who generated all the video used at the end \[15:38\] using the Rampage Trainer for the PC version of the game. At nighttime, Miriam appears at the window in the dark at 9pm and can be difficult to spot. The light comes on at 10pm and turns off at 11pm, making her more noticeable. At 12pm, the light turns back on, then she leaves the window.
\[16:34\] Miriam Wegner (bruised): This is not seen in normal playing of the game but can be accessed with the Rampage Trainer. There are a couple of her unused character models that show her with a bruised eye as well as different outfits.
