AITAH for asking for confirmation ?

this is quite a long story, and also a bit confusing so beware. i tried to explain as best as i could.

for some context, me and my friend (let’s call liam) were a “situationship” for about 8 months, when he got with this new girl. (lets call her charlotte) liam and charlotte had broken up a few months prior to this whole event. after they broke up, we starting talking again, as friends ONLY, and i had gained feelings for him again.

back to the main story,

on thursday, i was on a group call with me and 5 others. only 2 of the people in the call are relevant in this situation. “aidan” , “micah.” aidan was talking about this event and trying to convince the others into going to this event. (it was a school event) aidan was saying how him and liam would be going. later, (after 2 people had left the call) then aidan said something along the lines of, “i’m going for service hours, and liam is going for charlotte” (since charlotte would be going to this event as well) i was the only one who heard this, and the other 2 people (micah and james) were doing something else. anyways, i was obviously very confused hearing this. and a little upset, since i had feelings for liam. and i was wondering if he still had feelings for his ex. the whole time, i was in that call, i was hyper fixating on what aidan had said, and i KNOW that he said that, or at least something along the lines of that.

so, after about 20 minutes, i left the call and asked liam if he still liked charlotte. i told him, “i heard something” about it. he asked me what i heard, so i told him that aidan said he was going to the event for charlotte. he said that wasnt true, so i will admit i was relieved and a bit happy😭 i left it alone after that.

saturday rolls around, and i got a text from aidan. he asked me: “did you tell liam that i said he was going to the event for charlotte?” and i replied yes, because that’s what you said. then he proceeded to deny that he said that, and then starting calling me a “liar” and saying that i had “spread misinformation” which i did not do either of those things. since he had people in the call as “witnesses” it made it look like i was in the wrong. aidan’s witnesses were all invalid, since at the time of aidan saying what he said, 2 of them had left the call, and the other 2 were afk, and doing other things. i was obviously upset because i was being accused of things i didn’t do, and being forced to apologize, when i didn’t even do anything wrong?. and i was even starting to get gaslit into thinking that i misheard what aidan said.

then, micah (out of NOWHERE) starts texting me, when he was doing something else when it happened, so he wasn’t even relevant in this situation???? he started the conversation by cussing at me, and then being very rude. obviously, i was upset and angry, because #1, micah wasn’t a part of this since he was afk while aidan said this, and #2, being very rude about this when it doesn’t involve him. we basically had the same conversation as me and aidan did, and it ended up with me blocking micah. firstly, i didn’t intend on blocking him, but i did because he was being extremely hostile and annoying. and secondly, i blocked him because he LITERALLY told me to. he told me “you might as well block me” so i did. i’m not sure why this imbecile was mad. a mutual friend later told me how micah kept whining and complaining that i had blocked him, and how i was “pissing him off” even though i had ALREADY blocked him. so what could i have possibly done to piss him off while he was blocked smh. 🤦‍♀️

anyways, after i blocked micah, i stopped talking to all of them and watched a show for a few hours. when i came back to handle the situation, liam blocked me. i’m assuming that micah told liam to block me, since i had blocked him. (as some sort of “petty” revenge) i was honestly so sick of them all so i just left it alone after that.

in person, they all ignored me (which i didn’t really care about) but i wanted to explain to liam my side of the story, so i texted him on another app and asked him if we could talk. (where he didn’t block me on.) he agreed and i sent a very long paragraph and he basically didn’t hear me out at all, and even left me on read.

a few days later, i got added to a group chat (in which the name was *my name* is the r word) which i did not appreciate. then, they all told me to apologize to aidan, which i did not do, since i didn’t do anything wrong.

then, james, (not super relavent in this story) texts me and is basically just backing up aidan. he said that even micah’s mom said that i lied, and i was basically just explaining my side of the story. and in the end, he left me on read.

please, let me know if i am wrong or not because its been bothering a lot. i’ve asked mutuals who’s wrong, and they’ve all said that this is very stupid, and they are being extremely immature. i have a few screenshots of all the important conversations as well, but im not sure how to upload them. so AITAH?
