laptop for chem?

I’m sorry that this is annoying, but I need help buying a laptop for college. I’m currently majoring in chemistry (might change to a different stem major) and planning to be on the pre med/pa track. What I need is a laptop that can last a few years, good battery life, fairly light, doesn’t overheat easily, not too expensive (ideally </= 1k, good if it’s on sale at best buy), and a plus if it has a touch screen but not necessary. Also good if it has a simple and pretty design. I really appreciate any help!
