Citizenship by descent/legislative unfairness
My grandmother was born in Scotland in 1947 and held a British passport from birth. She immigrated to Canada in 1953 and naturalized in 1973. She has not had any contact with the British government since the 60s. My father was born in 1972, but was not entitled to British citizenship by descent as women were not able to pass citizenship onto their children at the time. My father has never had any interaction with the British government.
Can I claim citizenship either by descent or through legislative unfairness?
Both my grandmother and my father are still alive if it makes a difference.
