Symptoms? Please help
My baby is 5 months old and the last 2.5 months have been the most traumatizing of my life. She started arching and refusing bottle around 3.5 months and her intake significantly declined to the point we were doing daytime dream feeds. We had her on Nexium (gerd medication for 30 days) and Kendamil goat formula. When all these issues started she was on BF and Bobbie formula. I tried Similac Alimentum RTF with no improvement. She only wants to drink in her bouncer as I think the position helps her pass gas better. She used to chug her bottles and now she stops exactly at 2.5 oz, burps and takes so long to re-engage with the bottle. She acts like she wants it but something is giving her discomfort. The past week her symptoms have flared again and she is outright refusing bottles so doctor prescribed Pantoprozal. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like it’s reflux because she can be totally fine on her back, doesn’t scream after feeds, we see minimal spit up (I know it could be silent reflux). Anyway, the only other thing I can think of is CMPA
- Her stools have been tested twice with no blood
- She is such a happy baby outside of feedings
- No respiratory symptoms
- No rashes or hives ever
- No Diarrhea or vomiting
She takes her morning bottle really well and chugs it, but then the following bottle of the day she refuses for a long time. I’ve tried different bottles and flows.
Did anyone else have these symptoms only??
