I am in a relationship with someone from another religion. Ever since the beginning i was the one who put in efforts and did everything i can to be a good partner eventhough he initated the relationship. After 2 years he understood me and treated me better but often tells me he will leave me if i can'tconvince my parents soon since he is not able to manage his family.

Now i am trying to convince my parents for marriage but they are reluctant considering difference in religion, his family and weather he will be a good partner. His family wants him to get married since he is 32 this year. I am 26.

I am so confused if this is the right decision for both of us or if i am forcing this upon my self. I genuinely love him a lot and have given up on a lot of things to make this work. I cannot imagine what might happen if this doesn't work-out or how i will heal from this.

We met at 2022 and we got into relationship in 2023. We have been trying to convince parents since 2025.

My family and his family have planned to meet at his house on Aug 1st to understand concerns. My family is not ok with this and want to postpone the decision for next 6-7 months since they think astrologically time is not good for me or him. For context he is also Aquarius moon.

I would be very grateful for any advice regarding this relationship and its future
