Breaking into VC as an intern

This may sound lil vague but still can someone give a quick advice on this? I know its difficult to get into vc as an intern but still not impossible, how can a ug student get into vc as a intern without any network? ? What if you are talented enough to identify and evaluate potential startups to invest in and want exposure in vc world. Cold dm is a way but its not a feasible and ideal way. Many vc and startup events doesnt encourage students unless you are a founder, what other ways can land you in a role?
