Is 1 year drop worth for cuet?

I completed 12th and I haven't applied for any other colleges as I was initially planning to take btech but dropped that plan. Right now all the colleges closed their admissions and there is no college that I could get into. I attempted cuet this year without prep and it didn't go well.so iam planning to take a drop this year for cuet,xet and such colleges as iam interested to take bms so do anyone have a suggestion regarding my plan of taking a drop?
