Cost of trademark registration in India. No Fluff

I often see posts where founders are being scammed by legal service providers with non-transparent costs.
Sharing a cost breakdown for trademark filing-

1. Government fee - For stratups (with a DPIIT or a UDYAM certificate) the government fee is 4500/- per trademark per class. If you are filing as an individual or under your name, the cost is also 4500/- per trademark class. For non startups it's 9000/-.
2. Stamp paper - Trademark registration is performed by an attorney/agent, and in order to do this on your behalf, you sign a POA (Power of attorney) providing the consent to do so.
   This POA needs to be on a stamp paper of either your state or the state of the attorney's office address. You have to upload it as part of the trademark application on the government portal. The stamp paper cost varies but usually it's around 120 (100Rs stamp paper, with 20Rs as a convenience charges).
3. Service charge - this can range from 1500 - 10,000 per trademark per class based on the lawyer you choose. As long as the best practices are followed, it really doesn't matter which attorney or service provider is performing the filing.

So the overall costs for a startup doing a trademark filing would be at least 6120/- per trademark per class.

To give an example, to register a trademark for a brand named "Good Coffee" (it's a random name). If the main goods or services provided as part of the brand/business is "Providing different blends of coffees from across the world"
the relevant trademark class for this brand would be
Class 30 - It specifically covers coffee, tea, cocoa, and artificial coffee.
Class 43 - It covers services for providing food and drink in a cafe or restaurant setting.

So the overall cost would be (assuming 1500 as the service fee per trademark per class, taken by the attorney/service provider) -
6120 * 2 = 12240 INR.
