Does anybody else feel exhausted by hypocritical influencers?

I feel like I’ve reached a point where I cannot in good faith follow any Pakistani influencer, let alone beauty influencers! So many of them encourage overconsumption, support Zionist brands, and promote pages that sell fake products or imports with inflated prices- like things that used to be popular YEARS ago being hyped as groundbreaking because they have a brand deal with some page that sells these products, which they themselves receive for free.

Not to mention the fact that all of them swear by products that they don’t even use regularly because their daily makeup or skincare routine changes every video, depending on who’s paying them.

I just don’t understand why we as a society are still uplifting them and giving them a platform!
