Question about Federal SS Supplement for excepted employees and divorce.

Does anyone know if the SS supplemental benefit that some of us receive can be attached to a divorce?
I have conflicting information. This question is posed without a “court order” or legal decree, it is asked as a guideline of financial accounting.
