Does Physical Activity Trainer (845) count as Physical Education (321) for CUET/DU CSAS counselling?

Hi everyone, I’m confused about the subject mapping during CUET UG 2026 / DU CSAS counselling and would really appreciate some clarification from students who have faced the same issue or have confirmed this with DU/NTA.

I studied Physical Activity Trainer (PAT) in Class 12, which is a CBSE skill subject with Subject Code 845. It is a 100-mark subject with both theory and practical components, and the CBSE syllabus itself includes topics related to Physical Education and Sports.

However, while filling the CUET/DU details, I noticed that Physical Activity Trainer (845) is not listed as a separate CUET domain subject.

The CUET UG 2026 subject list has:

  • Physical Education (Yoga, Sports) — Subject Code 321
  • General Aptitude Test — 501
  • Other domain subjects have their respective codes.

My confusion is:

Can Physical Activity Trainer (845) be considered equivalent to / under Physical Education (321) for DU CSAS counselling?

I’m especially concerned because CUET/DU admissions generally require the subjects used for eligibility/calculation to match the subjects studied in Class 12. I don’t want to select Physical Education (321) in the counselling portal if PAT (845) is not officially considered equivalent.

For context:

Class 12 subject: Physical Activity Trainer
CBSE subject code: 845
CUET equivalent-looking subject: Physical Education (Yoga, Sports)
CUET subject code: 321

I’ve also seen other students with PAT facing the same issue, with some saying they selected Physical Education during counselling, but I’m looking for a more reliable confirmation rather than assuming it is correct.

If anyone has:

  1. Had Physical Activity Trainer (845) in Class 12 and applied through CUET 2026, OR
  2. Confirmed this directly with DU/NTA, OR
  3. Knows how DU is treating PAT during CSAS 2026 counselling,

please let me know whether PAT 845 can safely be entered/treated as Physical Education 321.

This is particularly important for students whose desired DU course requires/accepts Physical Education as a domain subject.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
