I got this English ivy a couple weeks ago and I didn’t realize how often it should be watered so it dried out. I pruned it a bunch and repotted it in soil with coco coir, peat moss, perlite, and a little vermiculite and worm compost (that’s what I kept being told to do from the internet).

This is the most bright indirect light spot I have for it next to a south facing window and far back from a west facing window (you see it in the mirror) that will shortly hit it with “direct” light as the sun is setting.

Questions:
\- I keep seeing the soil should be constantly moist and to water until it comes out the bottom but also it will root rot easily and to only water when the top is dry but I’m unsure if that means like bone dry or when the top would is just clearly not soaking wet.
— How do I know when to water it?
— When I do water it, how much should I water it?
— Is it better to bottom water it?
\- How do I encourage growth?
\- Should I fertilize it?
— If so, what kind of fertilizer and how often?
\- Please share any other tips/suggestions/ advice and any information about what I should know about English ivy plants to help inform how to better care for it.

Thanks!
