Is it better to lease or finance a car?

I am really confused whether I should lease a car or finance a car? I see toyota rav4 lease amount to be extremely cheap (289/mo for 36 months). I live in California. I dont know what could the best option for me would be? I can spend around 25k - 30k for a car.

But is it really worth it buying a car and if so what could be depreciation (for toyota, honda)?

How do you guys decide if you want to lease or buy car? And whats a reliable site for buying second hand cars? Certified Toyota is very costly imo.

Should i go for EV? Tesla has become very costly tho.
