(mtf) Has anyone had a hormone implant insertion go wrong?

My 2nd last implant that I had inserted roughly 7 months ago has become red and swollen at the site on the lower abdomen.

I shouldn't mention there wasn't a nurse available at the time so the doctor let my ex partner help, and he promptly fainted when seeing me cut open.

In the last 2 days a boil has appeared with a blackhead on the top centre, pain irradiating from the implant site where this boil has appeared. My doctor who did the latest one without issue is on break for another week and a half

I don't know what to do
