Don't go for the spot round. There are barely any seats left, and there's a very low chance of getting a good branch. At best, you might get a lower branch. If you're getting CSE at another college, especially in IPU, I genuinely think that's a much better option.

Biotechnology placements are not that great either. The average package is around 7–8 LPA, and if your goal is to build a career in tech, then this branch is not the right choice. Don't just think about the next four years of college—think about the next twenty years of your career. Open your eyes and choose wisely.

If you want to go into software or the tech industry, I honestly suggest that you don't come here. Even the peer group in Biotechnology is generally not very career-oriented, so your environment may not help you grow in the direction you want.

At IPU, if you're getting CSE, your chances of getting tech placements are much better. Here, many companies won't even allow Biotechnology students to sit for their placement drives. In many cases, eligibility goes only up to ECE students, and you'll just end up watching those companies come and go without being able to apply.

In the end, it's your decision, and you should choose at your own risk. I just wanted to share my honest suggestion because your career is at stake. I've told you what I believe is best—now the choice is yours.

Don't go for spot round for BT and all lower branch
