Love is strong but our mental health is making our lives hard
23M dating 20F for the past 2 months. I currently have an anxiety disorder and depression that I’m gonna seek help for the first time this week. Whilst, she was generally a happy go lucky girl until she met me. She has started to feel more insecure and think I’m too good for her and etc… but the issue is I have to prod her to even get that feelings out of her.
So, rn both us are kinda down… me more so with my own mental health which has no correlation to this relationship. If anything, this relationship is what’s my inner anchor admittedly.
She has indeed made some progress in terms of communication and we both do still feel strongly for each other as we did on day 1… but it’s just that we are just sad for god knows what reason. Mostly related to university and life in general.
Our intimacy also has kinda took a hit… especially on my side my libido is in the negatives when I’m in my episodes. She also herself has been experiencing some mood issues due to some health issues as she mentioned.
These are all not really an issue for me because we are still emotionally very affectionate and we found that that matters more to us now.
So what I wanted to know is, how do we both get through this phase or phases as a couple? I suggested that we both do physical activities and maybe lock in on a healthy diet to replenish ourselves. Anything more?
