Unable to update from Windows 11 23h2 to 25h2

For a bit of context im on a Lenovo ideapad 3-15itl6 which has been running a little bit slowly as of lately and I noticed that windows has been unable to update. Every time i try and update from settings it reverts or crashes. Have checked all my drivers and they all seem up to date. My ssd also has about 100 GB of storage left over but despite this both Windows 11 Assistant has crashed and the ISO from the website has as well (error code 0x8007001f after taking about 40 mins every attempt). I don't have any 3rd party anti virus or anything that I've read could be blocking it. I tried repairing corrupt files using cmd prompt but did not help. Have tried a clean boot and have also done Windows troubleshooting.

tldr: exhausted a lot of common solutions online for issues with updating windows but none have worked, hardware is compatible

Any suggestions?
