I'm turning 20 and realized there's always a new thing people expect you to get done even if it's not that important
I just took my first driving test and failed because a different car pulled behind me as I was parallel parking. Anyway, I'm not mad about it, I don't ready care tbh. I only got my permit to learn how to drive just in case of an emergency if no one else is there to drive ngl. But my family keeps pressing me about getting my license, which again I don't ready care for. It just feels like a waste of money at this point because It's not like I can afford a car in the near future.
I'm only ranting about this because I told my mom after I failed and she acted as if it's something I have to be upset about, which in my opinion it's not. I can always get another test scheduled. It just seems like other people are interested in me getting my license more than I am which frustrates me more that failing, because it's not only about a driver's license, before this it was university.
I took a gap year because I genuinely needed a break to get my shit together and people acted as if I would be jobless forever (I got into electrical engineering btw), and they would always pressure me into getting a job with a long-term contract (which would interfere with my university schedule in the future), because the odd jobs I was doing at the time weren't enough. Mind you I had no plan on doing part time forever, I just had to do it until my university started, it's not like I was just roaming around without a plan. Everything was planned, I was JUST taking a break because academic pressure was really getting to me, and I knew I couldn't continue like that.
Anyway, just a rant. I'm turning 20 in a week, and I had to get that off my chest.
