How my doctor reacted to me today
So today was my second visit to the ophthalmologist. I had to see different doctors today.
This is where it gets a bit.... off kilter, I guess.
The doctor tried to put the glass thing in my eye to view it. My eye and body reacted, and I spasmed.. it was involuntary. I was blamed. They tried again. I was blamed again. The doctor gave up on me and passed me onto a different doctor.
The second doctor was, to put it mildly, worse. The glass thing fell to the floor. I was immediately repirmanded for dropping an expensive instrument to the floor. I was told that if I couldn't sit still for a simple exam than I couldn't handle laser which would put a hole in my eye, and something could happen after which I could go blind within hours.
She also took me to a third doctor, who was my initial doctor who used the same device on me on my first day, and it worked fine.
I was also asked why I was behaving like I was being tortured.
At this point, I am aware that while I wanted to write an objective email, this is mot an objective email. I have just painted the first two doctors as complete villains.
That was not the intent. I just want to know if anyone here has involuntary spasms when the examination thing is in their eyes and how does their opthamologist handle it.
That's all.
PS I have started looking for other doctors.
