Land lord wants to get rid of my german shepherd. i need help, advice.

Hello ! i live in a rented house. next to this rented house lives the land lord. they said something about the dog being a liability which doesnt make sense since it is MY DOG not theirs. they say its a dangerous dog breed however we have gotten so many bums that broke in our rented house and the land lord does nothing about it. i also got this dog when it was a baby german shepherd so it knows me and he does not pose a threat to me or my family overall it is very friendly dog to my family. obviously very defensive dog breed to any strangers that come near. the land lord also has had 2 big dogs of their own. 1 being a Husky and 1 being a golden retriever. the Golden Retriever was removed from their hands, someone reported the land lord for not giving treatment to the golden retriver's ear to which was decaying from an infection. their husky died of old age. none the less both being 2 huge dogs. All of a sudden i get a big dog it becomes a problem that they dont like it. they also said keeping my dog would affect the insurance of the house ?? its also been 6 months since i've had this dog and they havent said anything to me until now. i feel like its all just B.S to get rid of my dog. i seriously could use the advice, apparently they're only giving us 1 month to make a choice. lastly they're saying this could end to legal matters so. this is also one of the best dog's i ever had. i sleep comfortably at night now because of this dog. please any advice i'd highly appreciate it.
