NEED HELP WITH IMPORT BUSINESS AS A SIDE HUSTLE AND PROCEDURES

Hello Friends,

I was wondering if anyone can guide me with imports business. I want to do it as a side hustle. I already have my importer BRN since March. But, i'm a bit lost with all the procedures. As you know, it's very difficult to get all the correct informations here in Mauritius :(

I don't like letting money sleep in the bank. I have a small starting capital.

If i order from alibaba, what are the procedures with customs and all? I heard i should look for an agent. Does the agent take care of everything? Even wih customs here in mairitius? Is there other costs once the products arrive here? And mra customs once quickly told me that i must inform them of the import via their website? For this i need an agent or import code or something.

Im so lost! 😭 please help me understand better 🙏
