Hi! I recently got myself a new tank and I need a little help figuring out what to stock it with.

The tank is 270 l big, it's a freshwater tank and for now I have little stuff to decorate with so tons of options are still open.

One fish that will definitely move in is my red tailed shark Richard from my old, smaller tank and I've been told my new tank is big enough to house both him and a bristlenose pleco (correct me if that's wrong of course) so I am hoping to get one of these as well.

I don't know if I can still consider myself a beginner? Kind of maybe, so I'd prefer fish that aren't suuupeeer complicated to keep but I can definitely learn! I've been helping out my dad with his tanks ever since I was little though he mostly had Bettas, neon tetras and cories, which as far as I understand are relatively beginner friendly fish? I myself currently have Richard and a group of barbs and this has worked out well for me, however I intend to keep the barbs in their smaller tank and try something new for the big one.

The only set decorations for my tank are the floor, currently half of it is sand and the other half aquarium gravel, and the other thing that will need to be there is a lava rock that Richard really loves to hide in or sit on top of.

I'm mostly looking for ideas of what kind of fish to put since a friend of mine really loves decorating tanks and will help me with that part but any ideas and advice what certain fish need are always still welcome.

While I do love my cute, small barbs I might want to go with something a little bigger this time since my tank allows it... I've been thinking about angelfish but I need to do more research on them, I appreciate any pointers or advice on possible tank mates.

Attached is a picture of my new tank (don't mind the random rocks and the horrible emptiness) - and one of Richard since he's cute.
