Cross-posting here cuz I totally took the sarcastic comments as shaming and hateful and it turned really funny in the end for me, however people mainly hounded the post with “duh it’s vegan it’s literally just vegetables” but it’s plant-based butter and no meat or cheese in the salad as I feel normally most people would do…

So like here’s my vegan girl dinner, it was super yummy but am I wrong to assume making meals vegan is hard??? Don’t people regularly cook with butter??? Or add cheese or use an egg-made product (pasta) or eggs period so meals are rarely vegan?

Idk someone reported me to a crisis concern and I got a notification for hotlines because I got so worked up over people downvoting my defensiveness and kept editing the post until I removed the edits cuz I kept digging the hole deeper 😂😭.

In actuality I have been trying to gain enough karma to post in another subreddit for weeks now and have been unsuccessful getting the proper amount so the downvotes was really the thing stressing me out… but the post karma got me way passed the goal. It was #2 post in the subreddit today.

It’s all funny looking back. Some comments were mean tho because they misunderstood my frustration as passive aggressiveness.

I’m just here making things I like to eat and I’m not vegan but sometimes make vegan meals without the intention of making it vegan. Vegan sometimes is yummier to me, hurts my stomach the least. Vegan has major stigma for being not tasty, so I wanted to show off my yummy vegan girl dinner in peace 😀

TL;DR Was proud of my unintentionally vegan meal that looked and tasted delicious despite it being vegan and was taken aback at the sarcastic responses from many saying “duh it’s vegan, it’s literally just vegetables”

Believe it or not, this is vegan (I’m not vegan)(people were shocked)
