[CAD 1500 - 1900]
[USD 1050 - 1400]

[Any]

* **Purpose**
[General purpose, mainly programming]

* **Form factor**
[Standard Laptop]

* **Intended usage**
[I don't think I will use it for gaming, mainly for programming, web and backend development with NextJS and Rust (need lots of RAM, at least 32 GB, and a good CPU)]

* **Desired battery life**
[I don't really mind the battery life tbh]

* **Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life**
[performance, RAM, longevity, display size (>= 15"), battery life, weight (doesn't really matter)]

* **Info/Requirements**
[I currently have a 6 year old Macbook M1 Air, and I'm trying to find other laptops that suit my needs that is better bang for buck than a Macbook in the same price range right now.

Also another requirement is that it can install linux.

I don't think I would need a dedicated GPU if there are cheaper laptops without it, but a good CPU is a must and 32 GB RAM or 16 GB + upgradable RAM]

Are there any laptops I should seriously consider? If there are no better laptops than Macbook in terms of performance in the same price range, maybe I will consider buying another Macbook.
